About Us We are a small specialist company. Our team is headed by Keith Brain, who first discovered Algarve and it’s golf courses nearly forty years ago and has been back to Algarve every year since then. At that time he was the golf correspondent for the Manchester Evening News, the biggest selling regional evening newspaper in the UK. In addition he helped form the Cheshire P.G.A which he ran for many years During that period he helped shape the careers of many young professionals including Derrick Cooper winner of the Cespa Madrid Open, Andrew Murray who won the European Open, and Mark Roe who won several titles including two French Open Championships. Despite his retirement from the major golfing scene Derrick remains as a member of the European Tour Board. Andrew heads his own management and promotions company and is a regular commentator on the BBC and Mark also left the tour to become a golf commentator with Sky television. Keith was also the British P.G.A.'s Head of Communications for several years and was a media consultant to United Distillers for the Ryder Cup. He has also been a golf consultant to a number of UK based Tour Operators, particularly those involved in golfing holidays. He is an honorary member at a number of golf clubs and a former Captain and Chairman of his home club at Sandiway in Cheshire. He helped run the first pro-am event to take place at the Old Course and was involved in many others in the early years of the establishment of Vilamoura. He is extremely proud to be amongst the handful of Europeans elevated to special status at Vilamoura as a gold card holder at all the Vilamoura courses – effectively honorary life membership. He also takes great pride in having introduced so many golfers to the Algarve over the years, many of them visiting for the first time and a number of them who are still retained as personal friends. He has played virtually every course featured on this website and stayed in all the accommodation we offer which covers a variety of hotels with three, four and five star status.
